Keep the Center Open
The center of the board is often the most valuable area because it provides the greatest flexibility for placing large and unusual shapes.
When players fill the center too early, they limit their placement options and increase the likelihood of running out of space. Therefore, it is generally wise to build around the edges and corners while preserving central areas whenever possible.
Maintaining an open center allows players to adapt to unexpected block combinations. It creates more opportunities for strategic placement and reduces the risk of becoming trapped.
Experienced players frequently treat the center as a reserve area that can be used when necessary rather than filling it immediately.

Small Block Blast Free holes are one of the biggest dangers in Block Blast. These spaces often require very specific pieces to fill, and those pieces may not appear for many turns.
